ASTRALODE Freeminers Patch Notes — July 8, 2022

Hey there! It's been an awfully long time since this thing's been updated. There are a number of tweaks and changes I've been sitting on for an eternity, some small, some pretty big. They go a little like:
- Ore upgrading is now significantly more forgiving! Bombs can be safely detonated directly on ore, making it far easier to pull off an upgrading explosion and much harder to make an ore-ruining mistake. Burnt ore is the exception, a direct hit with a bomb will still ruin the ore if it has already been overcooked.
- An indicator of ore harvest & mining progress in the current asteroid now appears in the main game window below the ship, rather than needing to be checked in the pause menu (but the detailed list of exactly which ore have been collected still resides there in the pause menu).
- The origin of the Lazer Boomer's 4-pane AOE is repositioned to more sensibly align with where the tool makes contact with the obstacle
- Visual effects for ore harvest and ore ruin are now fancier.
- Sound effects for ore harvest and losing a tool are slightly louder.
- Spacing in the dialogue box has been reworked to accommodate 4 lines of text, now making it possible for longer strings of text to fit into a single page.
- A number of minor bugs in the menu have been fixed, such as settings refusing to reset to the correct defaults, some inconsistencies in setting titles, and layering issues with various game elements active below the pause menu.
- A bug where the Trainer Gainer goal would refuse to unlock even after a copilot was sufficiently levelled up is now fixed.
- A bug where a useless and unintended 0 kB config file would be created in the root directory on game launch fixed.
- Various edits made to text and dialogue to accommodate the change in bomb/ore mechanics.
Added later via quiet patch (Jul 8, 2022 @ 4:37pm)
- A bug where the pause menu would be buggy and unusable while either the Atlas Mineralis or Certification Guide subscreens were open fixed.
- A bugged and glitchy layout of the failure screen when too much ore has been ruined has been fixed, caused by the recently introduced ore harvest & mining progress on-screen indicator improperly disabling.
- Wonky text alignment of goal descriptions on the Certification Guide subscreen fixed.
