Oh Trap! Patch Notes — January 18, 2019
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hi again! Thanks to all the players we’ve had so far! We hope you enjoyed and keep enjoying our game. We have a surprise for you. We added more game modes! From now on you can select Party mode in the main menu to play through different game modes with your friends and collect points by winning these modes! This makes for a more diverse game with different new strategies in picking and placing your traps. Among these new game modes are Booty Run, Drowning Islands, Feed the Fish, Burning Ram and King of the Islands. You get your own island at the start of a party round, which you can fill with traps. These islands are then used in different setups during the different games. You can rotate your island at the start of each game mode, so you can find the optimal way to use your traps and island. We hope you enjoy these new game modes and can’t wait to see the new strategies you come up with!
Other than a new game mode, we’ve also added a new trap! Now you can pull your enemies to this trap! Combine this pull trap with a kill or projectile trap for a kill combo. We can’t wait to see how you’ll use this new trap and which combinations you come up with.
Of course you don’t want to play with a team in these new game modes, you want to win by yourself! Player indicators have been added because of this, so you now get your own color in the Party mode. But you not only want to win, you want to let your friends know that you are winning. We can relate, and have therefore added emotes! You can now let your friends know exactly how you feel during the game. We also added some fun statistics at the end of a game, so you can show your friends just how many times you’ve killed them. Fun right?
We also wanted to make our game more visually pleasing. We have worked hard to make the game somewhat more natural looking. We reworked the levels and also worked on a new Ocean shader.
We hope you enjoy this new update, and we love to hear from you. We value your feedback, so please let us know what you think about these new game modes.
