Hello everyone,
It's with great joy that we share today's news with you - we've finalized Act 3 with the last 2 ending scenes, which means for the first time ever, all Early Access players can access a story-complete testing build of our game via our Discord.
Each of the endings features numerous new risk chains, duels, and dialogues, navigating the fine line between demonstrating credible strength without triggering the arrogance of a veteran Roman commander or pushing exhausted allies over the edge.
To celebrate Czech & Slovak Games Week, we’re also running a 35% discount all week long to make it easier for new players to join our community, helping us develop Sacred Fire into something special.
Without you, we would not have been able to reach such a high degree of nuance and satisfaction in the choices and consequences across each of your playthroughs.
This is what we've accomplished together:
176 scenes: 91 story scenes, 66 risk chains, 17 duels, 2 reward selection scenes
9 battles: each with 3 selectable playthrough paths: front row, support role, skip altogether
Story-branching variants:
3 acts, each with 2 distinct branches
5 distinct ending scenes: fort defense, peacemaker, war of attrition, coward, royal treasure heist
Scene-outcome variability:
6 Act 1 endings
9 Act 2 endings
10 Act 3 endings with epilogues detailing each character's fate and legacy
Character relationship outcome variability:
12 companions: develop friendships or rivalries; in some cases, there is optional romance
all companions can live or die: save them from themselves or from the enemy, push them towards danger, or kill them yourself
5 different primary allies can fight through the decisive battles at your side
5 different siege commanders, including your character, can command the defense of the fort
2 archenemies pulling you into a deadly spiral
