All Quiet in the Trenches Patch Notes — April 25, 2026

The Hospital Update has changed many core elements of the game, and with them the game balance. Although we made significant adjustments to the difficulty during the beta, it wasn't enough.
This small patch is intended to carefully make the game a little more accessible again. Please feel free to let us know here, in the Steam Discussions or on Discord how the balancing is working out with this patch.

Balancing
Reduced exhaustion of work projects in camp by one step
Increased starting Physical Condition of some soldiers slightly (new games only)
Increased base recovery rate, which determines how fast injuries and complications heal (new games only)
Increased minimum recovery rate significantly, allowing even soldiers with poor Physical Condition and high Exhaustion to recover at a reasonable pace
Reduced lice accumulation slightly
Removed several lice-related secondary complications
Increased minimum lice threshold for Skin Rash and Trench Fever
Reduced basic Infection and Tuberculosis chance slightly
Increased chance of wounds in battle result in a mild injury (or shock) slightly
Decreased chance of wounds in battle result in a severe injury slightly
Removed broken bones from being classified as mild injuries
Decreased chance of complications from wounds (and diseases) in battle and trench phases
Bugfixes
Fixed dialogue for helping french soldiers in battle being assigned to Elisabeth instead of Laroche
Fixed wrong conditional parameters for spreading tuberculosis
