Overclocked Patch Notes — June 21, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hi everyone!
Magnesium Ninja is making another game more than 6 years after Overclocked. Here you go:
Well, technically, I'm the artist of Overclocked working on it as a solo dev. If you liked my drawings in 2018, I hope you like my drawings (and writing, and game design) in 2025 even more.
If you enjoyed Overclocked's fast paced glass-cannon action and rhythmic one-hit gameplay, be prepared for absolutely none of that, because this is actually a cerebral turn-based strategy game.
What?
NOMIA is an isometric tactics roguelike. Guide a warrior and a wizard through a mystifying tale using grid-based strategy and deep deckbuilding mechanics. It's like Final Fantasy Tactics meets Slay the Spire.
Why?
I love making games and I wanted to make one that was the complete opposite of the last one.
What makes this one unique?
You have reliable Action cards that stay in your hand alongside exciting Gambit cards which are discarded and drawn each turn. You can take enemy aggro from your ally with your attacks. You can kick enemies off cliffs with knockback cards.
As the rogue, you can steal an enemy's self-destruct card and then parry your own self-destruction. As the wizard, you can invert anyone's buffs into debuffs and vice-versa. As the warrior, you can get an infinite-range joust attack that deals more damage the further away you are.
Where is Chris, the programmer and writer of Overclocked? Is he alright? Is he safe?
Chris is fine.
Thanks for taking the time to read! Wishlists and feedback are always appreciated.
