This is a big one; We've done a major rewrite of the library UI to facilitate all the new changes around the new search. Part of the changes are:
Live search in library (you see results as you type)
Search now includes asset names, including custom content downloaded from mod.io, HeroForge or TitanCraft
New UI to show asset names in the library
Multiple tag suggestions while entering text instead of just one
Unrelated to this we also have:
Massively improve memory and CPU usage when browsing community assets in the library (no more lag!)
Improve the performance of common collision ray cast
Improve physics performance for large boards \[0]
Performance improvements to the grid-based browsers
Fixed mod.io plugin cache
Replaced a lot of managed-memory allocations. Part of a longer-term effort to reduce pressure on GC
Assorted fixes and supporting code for upcoming releases
This Beta represents step 1 outlined in this devlog, the new tagging system and creature-tags are coming soon.
The Beta is expected to run for a week before it gets merged into the live branch. As always, we appreciate reports of any bugs or quirks!
\[0]: This one may not be so visible. While it does give a noticeable reduction in CPU processing time, the rendering time for larger boards still dominates frame time.
