Never Split the Party Patch Notes — April 22, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Today's patch is an item rebalance pass. A handful of familiars, wands, and rings had their numbers retuned, one boss-killer bug got swatted, and a few items are retired from the drop pool. You should have noticeably fewer bad runs to blame on your loadout.
Buffs
Force of Mind - now a 360-degree barrage. Three successive volleys of 16 projectiles each, stepped at 22.5-degree intervals and offset so the second and third rings fill the gaps from the first. Mana cost dropped from 2 to 1, so you can fire it twice on a full charge.
Rockfort - 50% larger with a tighter, slower orbit. Your stone friend settles into protective positions instead of whipping around the edges of the room. A proper bodyguard.
Seeker - homing now restricted to a 90-degree forward arc. Bullets still track, but they won't U-turn onto enemies behind you. Slight targeting hit, big controllability win.
Nerfs
Staff of Lord Seigen - room damage reduced by 30% for each coin spent, from 30 to 21. Still the reliable panic button, just not the answer to every hallway.
Dragon Shield - now absorbs the first hit each room 50% of the time. The shield still triggers at most once per room, but now it has to roll for it.
Rocket Boots - drops 5 bombs instead of 10 over a shorter window. The trail stops catching the user as often, and the shorter window means you can clear out of it.
Reworks & Retirements
The Bounty - fixed a bug that was silently one-shotting bosses. Bounty now deals exactly what the tooltip says: +50% damage to bosses, and nothing beyond that.
Mallard's Wand - retired. The kamikaze duck was never the answer to "what should my Level 10 class reward be?"
Weasel - removed from the drop pool. Its "Must have shinies!" scamper for every pickup in the room won't be missed.
Also
Shop price labels now mark slot-competing items with a CHARGE or TRINKET tag under the price, so you can see whether a purchase will replace something you already have before you commit to it.
Over 2,500 translation corrections across 27 languages. Class names, proper nouns, stat labels, and a long tail of howlers got cleaned up.
