Dungeon Defenders Patch Notes — June 17, 2026

Due to a plan to do a health pass on the armor drops in the game, and reduce the ongoing armor quality inflation, we're implementing the following changes:
The changes on Pure Strategy should result in around 20% slower time. If the time decrease is not around this ballpark, the ability damage reduction will be adjusted accordingly.
This is not being done lightly and we on the Development team think that it's overall a good change for the game. We feel like armor drops have been buffed too much in the last few years of development, mainly coming from the fact that TBR set a unrealistic precedent of quality and time standards due to lack of rates at the time of including the rewards on the map. This made it so any change on the game would be "fine", because it still wouldn't match TBR (and now Workshop Assault)
This change overall looks to increase the average time for a 2300 builder or 1700 dps piece by 40-45%
For Etheria!
- x1.1 multiplier on gold enemies quality down from x1.2
- Abilities will do 25% less increased damage on Pure Strategy. From 50% to 62.5% total reduction
- Map of the week floor drop doubling chance from 100% to 70%
- Non map of the week floor drop doubling chance from 0% to 35%
- Nerfing Workshop Assault, True Boss Rush and Lab Assault
- Removing double armor drops from Workshop Assault Map of the Week. Only double Bloodletting Blade will be awarded

New Content
- Crystal Race map for July event. Map is made for level 1 apprentices with no gear equipped

- Added Rainbow Nessie as a wave 35 Dread Dungeon Reward (Caps at 600 in all stats)

- Added a Flying Saucer pet to Ruthless Wave 30 of Moonbase
- Added new colorable moon pets to Ruthless Wave 35 of Moonbase. Three different Gravity/Hero Speed bonus combinations

General changes
- Updated ranked button string
- Removed tiledshot from defaultinput
- General changes on some enemies AI pathings
- Added Tower Range Indicator on tower hover and a toggle button in CDT Settings Panel
- Added the ability to Rename shop when with new button. Empty box cancels rename/toggle.
- Recomended Level on Game Select UI is now Difficulty Index from 0 to 10. Only shows for Nightmare and Ruthless, currently only CDT maps, more to come
- Discord RIch Presence enabled for the game again
- Adjusted build locations on Frostdale Royal Court
Accessory adjustment work
- Adjusted all hats, masks and bracers for Summoner
- Handful of accessory adjustments for Barbarian and Summoner
- Adjusted a handful of bracers for Demoness
- Adjusted position of bracers for Huntress to fit better
- Added the ability to switch back and forth between skins, can also use a/d. For controller it's bound to left/right triggers
- Updated the new Magicite of the Rainbow event to visually look better
- Made it so if you back from the first Multiplayer Menu you go back to Character Select instead of Main Menu
- Adjusted default hat, glasses, bracers, and Mask socket for Warden
- Adjusted hats, masks, glasses, Bracers, and Facial Hair on Guardian
- Adjusted how the Frankenstein Mask, Dracula Mask, Ghost Face Mask, Hockey Mask, Pumpkin Mask, And Witch's Hat colorability to make them color slightly better
- Split the generic items & feathers into 2 distinct sockets (Pins & Feathers)
- Adjusted the bracers size and position for Summoner, Demoness, Super Legendary Huntress
- Adjusted bracer position slightly on the Cupid Initiate skin
- Adjusted Oni Bracers to center them better on all heroes
- Swapped back EG and Poly pet archetypes from contest ones
Balance Changes
- Made it so non-Boss mobs that don't have forced invulnerability have their invulnerability stripped after 30 seconds from spawn.
- Added 'Frenzy' damage bonus to enraged mobs, and a 'contagion' mechanic on Enrage Aura
- Enrage now persists for 10 seconds after the mob leaves the Enrage Aura
- Made it so Jester can stack towers using Move Tower, by holding CTRL and selecting towers then placing
- Phoenix now only shoots fireballs below 70% HP
- Nerfed damage on Optic Staff by 4.5%
- Buffed damage on Elder Staff by 10%
- Buffed damage on Honey Staff by 10%
- Buffed player damage solo +10% assault on Workshop Assault
- Buffed player damage 4p by 5% boss gauntlet on Workshop Assault
- Reduced 4p resistance on mech on Workshop Assault
- Reduced Zippy Terror Kobold Ruthless movement speed to x0.35 from x0.5
- Reduced Mini Djinns Ruthless movement speed on Return to Moraggo to x0.35 from x0.5
- Reduced event owls size by 20%
Bug Fixes
- Barbarian Hawk cancels inputs after it's done
- Changed speed multiplier from crystal enemies on TI to 0.5 from 1.1
- Reduced tower damage taken on crystal enemies on TI from 1 to 0.75
- Fixed Quality Outline being inverted on items under mythical
- Reload bug fixed on Minigun
- Made the Mischief Harbinger mechanic on Ruthless Temple of Polybius tied to when he reaches 50% HP
- Fixed textures not rendering from behind on Princess Countess
- Adjusted Wyvern flight paths on Frostdale Royal Court
- Update pet aliases for achievments to accept glitterhelm hamster
- Fixed Deadly Striker Pet spawning particles infinitely
- Fixed dropped template for the Ghost Face Mask being incorrect
- Fixed regression with Embermount Volcano not having Small Ogres instead of Large Ogres
- Fixed Create Hero showing default skin stats on initial load
- Added a "Abilties overheated" text on last ev on Workshop Assault
- Added a bunch of no build zones volumes on Tinkerer's Workshop
- Added some enemy pathing blocking volumes on Tinkerer's Workshop
- Made Ethereal Spike Trap description say three enemies instead of a single enemy
