New Version 1.2.2 Update!
Rogue Empire: Dungeon Crawler RPG Patch Notes — April 22, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello everyone!
I hope you’re all doing great. I’m moving the current beta update for Rogue Empire into the main pipeline for all of you to try out. This one includes a nice mix of fixes, quality-of-life improvements, and some technical work behind the scenes. It also includes the move to Unity 6, so I’m especially interested in hearing if anything feels off after the upgrade. At the end something of it extra!
Changes in 1.2.2
Bug Fixes
Improved pylon beam graphics, which should also help remove related issues.
Fixed unlocked abilities tooltips under the main menu.
Fixed a secret achievement issue that made it harder than intended to trigger.
UI / UX
Improved support for different resolutions. Ultrawide screens should now have a better experience.
Moved the XP bar to the bottom, below the action bar.
Simplified the in-game exit option.
Other
Upgraded the engine version to Unity 6.
Please let me know if you notice any issues, especially with UI scaling, ultrawide resolutions, or anything unusual after the engine upgrade.
Before I go I wanted to let you know a bit on what I have been working in broad strokes:
Big UI improvements:
Item comparison with tooltips will be straight forward and contextual to your location.
Tooltips will have nested information, for example: You hover over an item with glyphs showing in its description "Glyphs: 0/2". If you then hover over the word "glyphs" you will have the concept itself explained.
Merchant window is split into 2 panes, one for your items and the merchant items. You will have all the information right there.
General game speed can be changed from the settings menu (should greatly improved late game experience)
I am not showing screenshots of this yet as it is work in progress specially the art part (feel free to drop in discord to check that out). In addition to this I have plans to add 1 to 2 unique talents for each class, improve performance and improve many more UI elements.
I hope you are excited as I am for all this! Happy crawling!
