Darkness Ahead Patch Notes — August 10, 2020
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
In the beginning of this summer, we started to update our games to a better state on Steam. Whether they are small fixes, a couple outdated asset changes or lighting overhauls. As the last in the line game to be updated, Darkness Ahead received the biggest update on any of our games.
In Darkness Ahead v2.0, we changed the game's visuals completely. With the new stunning visuals, the game also received assets renewal. Outdated assets from 2016 almost completely changed and together with the overhauled lighting, they offer a much better experience. Also, while protecting the progression of the game, almost every part of the game's flow received corrections and optimizations.
New, updated visuals brought a much better optimization. Now players can explore the abandoned plateau with much better and stable frame rates.
Being our first game and a short game, versions before 2.0 wasn't offering a save system. Now, with this update the game has an automatic save system. This way, no matter at which point you are in the game, your progress is saved.
Whether you are a new player to Darkness Ahead or you played the game back in 2016, v2.0 is an update we are proud of and we think you should give it a try!
