Second Wave of Beta Testing: Applications Open + Format Explained
We know what you expect when you hear "open beta test": a button on Steam, one click, and you're in the game. Ours won't work that way—access will still be by application only.
Here's why.
The first wave accomplished its goal: we identified and are now fixing critical bugs. At this point, we could throw the doors wide open and let everyone in—but the game isn't yet in a state we're ready to showcase without caveats. If the first impression isn't right, there won't be a second chance.
That's why we're expanding the tester pool carefully: we'll onboard significantly more people than in Wave One, but applications will still be required—so we can calmly polish the game toward release.
So, when we say "open," we mean that anyone can apply, not that there's a one-click button. We understand this differs from the conventional meaning of the term—which is exactly why we're being transparent about it, rather than pretending that's how it was designed.
How to join:
→ Submit your application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfd1oUhZNYwh1-xYgvevUFNu4DeCEA9xTdQeItDrGGONQfjjA/viewform
→ Wait for an invitation
→ Play, break things, and tell us what's wrong
A special thank you to the Wave One testers.
Without you, we wouldn't be inviting the next group now—we'd still be stuck in the bug tracker. We're looking forward to Wave Two. 🚗
