Gods and Idols Patch Notes — August 24, 2024

The missing FX objects have been fixed, and ``LoadModels`` now properly makes use of the new Buffer anc Cache handler. Resulting in a small performance gain during startup, and much better error-, and memory-, handling.
Remaining items on the to-do list are now:
- Clean up local object collector
- -``GetNearestObject``
- Unified object structure
- -Master type ptr to specifics
- Fixed timestemp rendering
- Multisampled render to texture AA
- Add toggle RMB look lock
What's coming after Stockpile?
The currently planned-, upcoming-, named-, updates, in the order they will be released, and a brief overview of what they will contain:
- Update 1 - Stockpile: Huge engine and backend updates and modernizations. On the gameplay end this update contains stockpile changes, and shards will be used to improve planet stats.
- Update 2 - Limbo: Ships, fleets, and the Limbo dungeon mechanic.
- Update 3 - Logistics: A major update to all buildings and resources. Will introduce a brand new method of production chains, how to unlock recipes, haulers, and logistics. "Alpha points" shop becomes available (See Notes B, and C).
Note B: If an update requires a universe wipe; Any existing planets, buildings, resources, fleets, etc, that you may have will be converted into "Alpha points" which you will be able to spend ingame to acquire bundles of resources in order to get back to where you were before faster.
Note C: "Alpha points" can not be purchased for real money and are only a temporary measure during development in case of universe wipes.
