🌊 Submeris — Ocean Festival Preparation Update
A new update has been released for Submeris!
This update focuses on making the underwater exploration, digging, and survival experience cleaner, more balanced, and more atmospheric.
It also includes several important fixes and improvements to strengthen the core gameplay ahead of the upcoming Steam Ocean Festival.
🔧 Important Fixes
• Fixed an issue where ores could disappear after save/load.
• Dug, collected, and progression-based ore states are now preserved more reliably.
• Fixed an issue where audio settings could reset after exiting and restarting the game.
• Audio settings are now saved correctly and restored with the proper values.
• Removed ores and special items that were outside the map, unreachable, or impossible to dig.
• Players should no longer lose progression because of inaccessible resources.
• Fixed areas where the character could get stuck at certain points on the map.
• Fixed critical issues such as leaving the map or getting stuck in an endless void.
🌊 Atmosphere and Ocean Experience
• The overall atmosphere of the game has been rebalanced.
• Sounds, effects, and environmental details have been adjusted to better support the feeling of underwater exploration.
• Sound effects and atmospheric feedback are now better integrated into the core experience.
• Digging, exploration, danger, and the underwater feeling have been improved to create a more complete experience.
• Fixed lighting issues that caused some lights to disappear.
• Underwater areas, dark zones, and exploration points are now lit more consistently.
⛏️ Digging and Exploration Improvements
• Based on player feedback, the digging area has been slightly increased.
• Digging now feels smoother, more comfortable, and more satisfying.
• The detector’s detection range has been increased.
• Players can now track buried treasures, special items, and valuable resources more easily.
• Ore visibility has been improved.
• Ores now stand out more clearly from the ground and surrounding environment.
• Exploration and digging are now easier to read visually.
☢️ System and Gameplay Adjustments
• The radiation system has been reworked.
• Radiation zones are now more balanced, clearer, and more naturally integrated into gameplay.
• Fixed an issue where the character could sometimes return to an old movement state while swimming.
• Swimming and underwater movement transitions now work more reliably.
• Many small bugs have been fixed.
• Overall game stability, performance, and gameplay flow have been improved.
