METAMORPHOSIS Patch Notes — January 22, 2026

Hello there! luXan here, sharing some news.
First of all, we’ve reached the milestone of 60,000 wishlists! It’s such an incredible achievement, and it truly makes every hour of work worthwhile. ːsteamhappyː
Development of the content update continues, as I revisit existing areas from the demo and review what worked and what didn’t.
Here are some new screenshots showing just a small section of what’s to come:

Updated enemies are also on the way, along with some brand new horrors that I’m sure you’ll hate, Here are some work in progress for some of them.
It’s not all terrible news for Aria though, this update will also brings a lot of bug fixes, new items, new OS features, and some changes to the dash mechanic.
Save slots are also coming! Including more confessional booths, making backtracking between areas a bit less annoying.
New accessibility options, plus updated gamma and brightness sliders, are coming as well.
As a reminder, this will be the final patch for the playtest. I don’t want to spoil everything, so you’ll have to wait to see the full scale of the update.
As for the release date of the patch, well, we’re still about 30%-ish there, so you’ll have to be a bit patient.
There’s also some work happening outside of development to make sure the team can work on the game full-time. Because of that, we’re not moving at the full speed we’d like just yet, but hopefully that changes soon!
After that, we’ll be heading a bit into the dark as development shifts toward the full release of the game. But I’ll keep you posted, so you know I’m not dead or anything, just very busy.
