Vulture for Slash'EM is here!
Vulture for NetHack Patch Notes — June 9, 2015
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
The free DLC adding a second game engine, Vulture for Slashem, is now available!
Slash'EM, or, Super Lots of Added Stuff Hack with Extra Magic makes many changes to the base NetHack game, adding not only what listed below, but a whole lot more including even obscure dungeon items like guns and light sabres:
- Six new player roles
- Five new player races
- Several new special levels
- Many new monsters, items and artifacts
- Loads of other small changes.
The main dungeon is longer in Slash'EM than in NetHack and most people regard Slash'EM as much more difficult than NetHack. There's an old saying that goes: "NetHack doesn't care if you live or die, but Slash'EM wants you dead".
Additionally the base NetHack game has also had some patches applied to stability, a few people suffered crashes at or near startup. We bundled these fixes into both Slash'EM and NetHack engines and this should hopefully resolve these.
Happy dungeon crawling!
