Dr.Green Patch Notes — May 9, 2015
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey everyone!
Due to an increased interest in speedrunning and some feedback from the same I've implemented an in-game timer.
The timer is visible on several occasions. First of you will find another trophy added in the Highscore menu. It will be unlocked if you can complete the game under 35 minutes. Bare in mind, you have to kill the last boss for this to be activated at all.
Secondly, the timer can be found when you pause the game. Thirdly, it will be shown after you've killed a boss.
Have fun trying to get down to 35 minutes! Why not share you tips and tricks in the speedrun thread?
Disclaimer
There are flaws in this system that I'm still fiddling with but I wanted to get it out there for testing and ideas on it. You can for example get the trophy by just playing the last level, and your best time doesn't get saved yet.
The timer starts ticking at the start of LEVEL 1. It won't stop ticking if you lay dead and it ticks through cutscenes. The only time it stops is after a boss is killed and during the "Pre-level screen".
