Backrooms: New Gate Patch Notes — October 27, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey everyone!
Hope you’re all doing great!
I’d like to share some updates on the development and upcoming plans for the game.
I’ve been actively working on an updated version of the project.
I decided to completely rework the game - improving the graphics, atmosphere, and gameplay, and adding more depth to the exploration experience.
Now you’ll find different levels, each with its own unique mood and sense of eerie calm.
Among them are:
the classic BackRooms,
PoolRooms,
levels inspired by liminal spaces,
mysterious Monolith levels,
and several other new areas.
All of this is in progress - I’m not abandoning the game!
I continue developing it in my free time and putting a lot of heart into it.
At the moment, I’m focused on PoolRooms - reworking the lighting, visual effects, sounds, and overall architecture of the level. Development is going strong, and the first part of the update is almost ready!
I’m planning to release it within the next week or two. Once the update is out, the old version of the game will be replaced by the new one. However, if anyone prefers the original version, I might upload it separately - and I’ll definitely let you know in the news section when that happens. Thank you so much to everyone who supports the project, leaves feedback, and stays interested in the development - your support really keeps me motivated!
Stay tuned - the update is coming soon, and I’ll share more details once it’s released.
See you soon!
