Hey survivors,
Today’s update focuses on making RoundZ run smoother, cleaner, and more stable across the board.
Version 1.0.1 is all about performance and fixes after launch.
🧠 AI & Round Logic Improvements
Zombie spawn logic rebuilt to reduce overhead and improve stability
AI now starts cleanly without the old BeginPlay clutter
Behavior Trees initialize smarter for better performance
GameMode no longer checks zombie count every tick, zombies now notify on death to advance the round
⚙️ General Fixes
Removed damage indicator when a player is downed
Fixed the bug where you could “revive” players that were already alive
Game now ends correctly when all players are down
Fixed an achievement-related crash
Updated the main menu logo
⛰️ Terrain Optimization
Landscape now runs with Runtime Virtual Textures
This cuts shader cost significantly while keeping visuals identical
Lower GPU load = more stable performance
⏳ Loading Improvements
Levels now preload during the loading screen to avoid early-game FPS drops
Thanks for all the support during the launch of RoundZ.
More updates and surprises are coming, this is just the first step.
