PANZER BALL Patch Notes — August 14, 2020
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Workshop!
This update brings workshop support. You can create custom maps and share them with others. Everything works from within the game, so no need to use external tools. Consider it alpha, so please do share any bugs/feature-requests you might have :)
Map Editor
When you launch the game, you will notice there is a new menu item in the main menu called 'Workshop'. Here you can create, edit, or publish your maps. I've kept the map editor quite basic so that anyone could use it, and will post a video tutorial soon on how to use it.
Sharing your work
Once you have a map, you can publish it to the Steam Workshop ecosystem with a single click. Once it's on the workshop anyone can subscribe to it and give it a go. You can also subscribe to any maps you want and see how others go about making their maps.
Hosting workshop maps
You can also host any subscribed maps or even your work-in-progress maps by going to 'Online Multiplayer->Create Lobby->Workshop Maps'. When you search for maps, you will notice that you can join any map that it shows, even maps you are not subscribed to. So no need to have matching maps subscribed, simply search a session and join it :)
Last update
This will probably be the last update before I fully release the game. Once the game is released it won't be free anymore but anyone who's got the game installed will get to keep it ( Steam told me ). If you end up losing the game, join our discord and ask me for a key and I'll give you one for free :)
The game will still receive updates after that, but I'm not entirely sure what kind of content yet. Feel free to suggest your ideas below!
Thank you!
This game was supposed to be a quick experimental project but it's been amazing seeing so many of you play it. I'll be focusing on my next project soon, if you're curious to follow progress, as always you can join the discord channel. Thanks!
