Let me start by apologizing for how long it's been since the last update. We're a tiny team of just two people and realistically only one of us is working on the code. So it just takes us a while to get updates in. We meant to post some progress sooner, but it's just been very busy with regular life, working on the updates, and also planning the next game.
YES, we hear you about the glitch with endless battles literally becoming endless! First of all, stellar job mastering BoG so much that you were each able to get to 99 power stage, that's really incredible. A fix is underway and there should be an update for this today or tomorrow.
As special thanks for being so patient, we've added a very silly easter egg that references our previous mascot who is already hidden in the items of BoG. Press 'F' to toggle it and see what happens!
We're also working on adding keyboard and game pad controls as well as Portuguese and Spanish languages. The changes should be available in the next week or so. A Japanese language update is underway too, but we don't have a set expectation for when this will be available.
We have many more changes and improvements we want to roll out for BoG to keep the game fresh and worth revisiting, but these changes will roll out slowly over the next few months. You'll be sure to hear about it here, of course!
Aside from this we're very excited about the next game we're working on. It will also be a rogue-like, this time with game play closer to the original dungeon crawling ideal. The twist will be to make your way through the dungeon you first need to raise a powerful monster using virtual pet mechanics! Do you remember virtual pets from the 90s?! We still play ours and we hope you will really enjoy this challenging and very nostalgic adventure.
Additionally, as vpet fans the two members of our team will also be making some cool free mod packs starting with a certain fan game of an old vpet franchise. You'll be able to play this fan game free with zero purchase of our original game necessary.
Lastly, we're working on bringing a product designer onto our teensy team which will allow us to turn the upcoming game into a real physical virtual pet toy you can buy and hold in your hands. The physical vpet will ship with our original game and will also come with a steam key. You can flash free mods to the device at any time and with the steam key you'll still be able to try our game even if you prefer your physical device to run a mod.
