Fast Food Simulator Patch Notes — September 23, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello everyone,
It's been some time since we've made an announcement. We were aware of it at that time, some concerns and frustrations arose. Even some thought the game had been abandoned or development had stopped. But that was never the case; the game was and still is in full development. Let's start by answering the most asked question during this period:
Why the silence, lack of information?
With the new update contents and technical improvements, we weren't sure if they were feasible or not, whether we would start from scratch, or come up with an entirely new plan. We needed to know and be sure that the code infrastructure would handle the changes, and we were prepared to make adjustments if necessary.
In the end, we wanted to deliver a beautiful update for our players, for you guys, we had to do more than we could do, that's why we weren't sure. We had to make a choice; either we would turn back from what we said, giving you all a false expectation and hope, or wait until everything is stable and confirmed. We chose the way that we believe was safer. After countless trial-and-error, internal tests, crashes, bugs, and problem-solving, now it's safe to announce what's coming in the next update/what's new.
We all sincerely appreciate your passion, support, and patience!
Now, it's time to see what's new and what's coming!
Unreal Engine 5.5 Migration (from 5.3)
We've moved the entire project from Unreal 5.3 to 5.5. Why?
Necessary for full controller support
Better performance through the game
Support for up-to-date features
A better and newer engine version overall, with more features
This migration took time and effort, but it was absolutely worth it for the long-term stability of the game.
Full Controller Support
It's finally here!
Every action in the game (from menus to cooking) can now be done with a controller
Plug-and-play, meaning no complicated setups
A more comfortable gameplay experience
Some improvements/adjustments to menu visuals to support controllers
Fast Food Simulator is now fully playable with a gamepad. Lean back and enjoy the game!
Changing Matchmaking Infrastructure to Epic Online Services (EOS)
Our multiplayer backbone has been switched to EOS.
It's a necessity for future possible cross-play plans
High and better compatibility with Unreal Engine
A better infrastructure than the previous matchmaking system
We want playing with friends to feel smooth and enjoyable without technical interruptions.
A Mini Open World!
Probably the most exciting part of the update!
Places where you can deliver orders
A new, sizzlin' hot mini open world that you can explore
You're no longer stuck in a small restaurant
If possible, drivable vehicles to deliver orders (If! That's on the table — no promises yet)
Once again, we would like to thank you all for sticking with us! We'll be with you soon to share some screenshots and peeks from the update. Until then, keep cookin'!
Let's keep making Fast Food Simulator better together!
