Arctic Eggs Patch Notes — March 26, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hey!
Thank you for still having Arctic Eggs deep in your hearts. But, we both know it wasn't the eggs that kept you coming back. It was the cigarettes.
I just wanted to drop by and let you know that there was a big update to my next games playtest, and cigarettes have been added. I am not sure what their purpose is yet.

Originally I was going to just drop that news here and leave, but figured it'd be wise to give some more context.
About Fishing - Playtest 2.0 is live right now
It's a mystery fishing game where you cast your line into calm water and occasionally pull up things that were never meant to be found. Think Shenmue meets Sega Bass Fishing, with a female protagonist in a yellow raincoat.
The first playtest had over 25,000 of you show up. 96.5% rated it positive.
What's new in Playtest 2.0?
The biggest change is casting. It's more physics-based now - rebuilt completely. The feedback from the first playtest kept circling back to the line physics. Lots of people praised the way you could interact with the Trout puzzle, and that helped me realize I was leaving so many opportunities on the table. So I rebuilt it from the ground up.
The line doesn't just go where you point it. It flies. There's something between physics and chaos happening when you cast, and that's exactly where I wanted to end up. Your approach to each spot really matters now, helping the worlds actual geometry feel important.

Beyond that:
New areas to fish
Moving objects underwater
The shop is in
More story - including the area near the church
A mausoleum puzzle
How to get in?
Head to the About Fishing Steam page, click Request Access on the playtest, and you're in immediately - no waiting, no queue.

If this sounds like your kind of thing, wishlist it while you're there. It helps more than you know.
Stay hooked.
