ColorCoordination Original Soundtrack available now!
Hello everyone! El Demso here! Composer for ColorCoordination (heh). This time I'm here to talk about ColorCoordination's soundtrack.
I remember there was a time when I dreamed of writing chiptune music. Being a 90s kid, it's a genre that feels really nostalgic to me. But I must confess something to you. ColorCoordination's soundtrack is not really "pure chiptune".
I made the whole soundtrack using FL Studio and YMCK's Magical 8bit Plug instead of using real hardware. I know, I'm a sham!
Regardless, I ask of your forgiveness. Forgive this poor soul for not following the pure chiptune path! ːsteamsadː
Someday I will be strong enough to write proper chiptune, using proper hardware. I promise! ːsteammockingː
I tried, however, to follow the Famicom/NES sound limitations, as it was my hardware of inspiration (and the type of sound YMCK's plugin can produce). I've worked really hard on this OST, and I've made sure to be as close as "legit sounding" as I could.
While I was promoting the game on Discord servers and social media, a lot of people asked me how they could support me financially, since the game is free and all. After giving it some thought, in the end, I thought putting up the OST for sale was a good way for people to support me that didn't gatekeep them from the game itself!
So yeah, the game's soundtrack will be 15% off during the first week of its release, so get your hands on that sweet discounted price while you can!
May I remind you that you might consider joining our Discord to discuss the game!
See you next time!
