Hermes - AI Assistant for the Game
War For Galaxy: New Era Patch Notes — January 23, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
1. Consultations
Hermes can provide reference information about the game and answer your questions. You can find a list of basic questions in the chat with Hermes; the list opens when you click on the question (bottom left corner). In rare cases when the AI cannot provide an answer, you can always contact the tech support chat, where you will always be helped.
2. Espionage and Reconnaissance
You can perform automated scans of other players' planets. You can specify a single planet or multiple planets, as well as the number of reconnaissance probes to be used for scanning. In addition, it is possible to specify a system or a range of systems, but do not specify more than 50 systems where you want to send reconnaissance probes. Examples:
- Send reconnaissance probes to planet \[1098], from planet (specify planet), use one reconnaissance probe.
- Send reconnaissance probes to planets \[1098], \[987], from planet (specify planet), use one reconnaissance probe.
- Scan planets of living players in the system range from \[10:9] to \[10:20] using reconnaissance probes, from planet (specify planet), use one reconnaissance probe.
3. Debris Field Collection
You can automate debris field collection by specifying a specific planet or choosing any system of interest. Example:
- Collect debris from planet \[1098].
- Collect all debris in system \[10:9].
- Collect debris from planet \[1098], using collectors from planet (specify planet).
4. PvE Attacks (Pirates) and Farming
Attack commands allow you to send a selected fleet into battle against a player or pirates. You need to specify a specific target, as well as the composition of your fleet.
It is most effective to use Hermes for attacking pirates, as it can independently determine the composition of the enemy fleet and select the optimal fleet for the attack. Example commands:
- Attack planet \[1098], from planet (specify planet), use 10 colossi.
- Attack pirates in system \[10:9], from planet (specify planet).
You also have the option to combine attack and collection commands so that Hermes first attacks the pirates and then collects the debris after it appears, for example:
- Attack pirates in system \[10:9], after destroying the pirates collect the debris, use only available colossi and collectors from planet (specify planet).
5. Analytics and Planet Search
Hermes can help you find the optimal planet for colonization, which is best suited for a new base. The AI can independently determine the sectors and temperature of an unoccupied planet in a specific system or range of systems (specify no more than 20). Knowing this data, you can choose the best planet. You can also tell Hermes which columns to display and how to sort them in descending or ascending order of a certain parameter. Example tasks:
- Scan unoccupied planets in system \[10:9], sort by temperature in descending order.
- Scan unoccupied planets in the system range from \[10:9] to \[10:20] inclusive, sort by sectors in descending order, show the top 10 planets, do not show debris.
6. Construction, Research, and Empire Management
Using these commands, you can build a construction queue, specifying in what sequence and by how many levels a building/technology needs to be upgraded. Hermes can perform tasks to upgrade one building/technology or several at once. Example:
- Upgrade the neutrino power plant by 3 levels on planet (specify planet).
- Upgrade the collider by 3 levels, the silicon storage by 4, and increase the energy technology by 2 levels on planet (specify planet).
7. Logistics and Optimization
Hermes can perform logistics commands and also collect nanobots, for example:
- Collect all nanobots from my planets.
- Transport from planet (specify planet) to planet (specify another one of your planets) 1 million titanium, using only collectors.
8. Notes
When specifying planets, you can use either the names of your planets or coordinates. You also have options for executing delayed tasks, for a certain number of hours; it is important to specify exactly after how many hours to execute. The entire coordinate format in the game is displayed as follows: \ or \.
9. Usage Limits
All users have 100 units (tokens?) available weekly, which are spent during Hermes' operation; to renew, you need to buy a package (of tokens?). Two renewal options are available:
1. (Subscription?) for 30 days, which includes 2500 (tokens?) and a crew for 30 days.
2. Purchasing tokens separately, which do not expire 30 days after the subscription ends.
