Hollow Survivors Patch Notes — March 3, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Dear players
It's been another good month for Hollow Survivors.
Flower Floor
I've been working on a lot of things but the coolest one is the Flower Floor.
I don't know why, but the image of this floor appeared in my mind when I just started working on the game a couple years ago. I never had the time to implement it, but now, finally, I brought it to life. Flower Floor is not anything spectacular, there are no fancy enemies in there or anything like that. It's a calm, mysterious place that may reveal itself to battle-worn Hunters. An oasis of peace amidst chaos. Here it is in all its beautiful glory:

Azulon - The Scourge of the Skies
Another boss fight is complete. This time, you'll be fighting Azulon - an old dragon guarding his crystal treasure - jumping on you from above and shooting fiery waves of projectiles. The way the waves are constructed makes it much harder to destroy with your attack - dodging is probably a safer bet.

Dialogue Translations
New dialogues were translated to more than 10 languages!

Performance optimizations
I know this is much less sexy than adding new content, but sometimes you just need to grind through the boring work in order to get to the fun part. The game should now run better on low-end hardware which I'm super happy about! The optimizations should also make your laptop less hot when playing the game (for all my laptop gamers <3).
You can always optimize the game more, so I'll definitely work on more optimizations in the future, but I'm very happy with the first batch of optimizations for now.
Here's an example of one of the optimizations. Do you see the grey object names lighting up and then going grey again? This means that rather than getting destroyed and created again, they are created once and are getting reused, which is good for your computer! (similar to how reusing stuff in real world is cheaper than buying a new thing all the time, hah!)

Take care and see you in a month!
xoxo,
