Dream Catcher Patch Notes — January 7, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
(January 7th 2026)
Well this is embarrassing. After 4 months of working on "the big update", I have to release this small patch to address some security vulnerabilities that were found recently. This update has no new features but a lot of bugfixes, optimizations and a few visual upgrades.
CHANGES
Optimization : Greatly reduced multiple sources of lag spikes (Talking to a NPC or doing an attack notoriously caused up to a 1 second delay).
UX : The game will no longer try to adjust for both mouse-and-keyboard and controller at all times. Instead, the game tries to guess which one you are using and adjusts only based on one (This means a less inconsistent camera).
UX : Added a prompt indicator when an interactable object is highlighted. The indicator changes based on whether you are using a controller or not.
UX : Reworked the camera to be easier to use on different devices. Specially controllers and trackpads.
Visual : All health bars in battle are now made of cardboard.
Customization : Trainer eyes now look less vacant.
Customization : The colors of your clothes are now limited by the same limitations tulpas have (cannot be pitch black, darker colors are less saturated, etc.).
Skill : Slightly improved the logic of how skills are randomized.
Physic : NPC hitbox sizes are now based on their real height.
BUG FIXES
UI : During a trainer's turn, the label said "Trainer" instead of the trainer's name.
Visual : The miss percentage indicator was very pixelated during battle.
Skill : Sometimes, when making a new save file, your starter tulpa would have invalid equipped skills by default.
