IfSunSets Patch Notes — April 29, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
■ Update Version: v0.7.0
Hello, everyone!
We are the developers of IfSunSets!
🌊 The “Ocean Content” update is now live! 🌊
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has waited so patiently and supported us throughout this time.
We are truly delighted to finally present this update, which includes the new ocean content along with a wide range of improvements and changes.
Starting with this ocean content update, IfSunSets will continue to undergo ongoing refinements and development moving forward.
At present, we are preparing aggressive hotfixes to quickly address various issues and further improve the overall quality of the game following this update.
Even so, we can confidently say that the foundation of IfSunSets is now firmly in place.
IfSunSets will continue to grow and evolve from here.
In this “Ocean” update, we have introduced a large-scale regional expansion covering both underwater and open-sea environments, naval combat, crew management systems, new mid-boss encounters, and new islands, along with a variety of additional content.
Now experience the new content that truly defines IfSunSets’ “Ocean” theme!

■ Important Notice
※ We recommend starting fresh with a “new character.”
This ocean update introduces large-scale changes across terrain, quests, and overall stat balance.
You can continue playing with your existing character without any critical issues. However, to fully experience the intended content and progression of the “Ocean” update, we strongly recommend starting with a new character.
Please also note that all quests have been reset. This is due to structural changes, including separating world and personal quests and establishing a more cohesive main quest line.
In addition, through balance adjustments, the “Desert” region has been set as the final difficulty area. Players who already possess desert-tier equipment may find that it impacts the intended gameplay balance.
This decision was made to ensure proper progression, as allowing players to access ocean content only after completing all continents would delay entry significantly. As such, the desert now serves as the highest difficulty stage. Please keep this in mind while playing.
※ A new ship system has been added. Interacting with your existing ship will return its materials.
In this ocean update, ships in IfSunSets have been completely overhauled.
Existing ships can no longer be used.
However, all materials used in your previous ship will be returned to your inventory when you interact with it.
※ Please make sure you have enough free inventory space before interacting.
🎉 We’re excited to announce the results of our 1st Anniversary Outfit Event!

The winners of this event are Serena and Eunwolrang.
Outfits created based on their amazing ideas have now been officially added to the game!
You can obtain these outfits by purchasing them from the NPC “Lora” in-game.
Be sure to check them out and experience these special anniversary outfits for yourself!
We sincerely thank everyone who participated,
and we look forward to bringing you more exciting events and content in the future.
Thank you!

⚖️ \[Balance]

1. The game’s balance has been completely overhauled.
Item tiers and performance, their placement throughout the world, and the stats of newly added items have all been completely reworked.
The maximum level of monsters has been increased from 100 to 180.
With the addition of new monsters, new regions, and underwater enemies, the maximum level of in-game monsters has been increased to 180.
Now, IfSunSets follows a more structured set of rules.
The game now features a total of 11 progression tiers, each with its own corresponding crafting recipes.
When equipped with gear appropriate to your current tier, the difficulty curve will feel much more clearly defined than before: previous tiers will feel easy, the current tier will feel normal, and the next tier will feel challenging.
However, through exploration, you may also discover powerful weapons that surpass your current tier.
2. The desert region has been set as the highest difficulty area.
After careful consideration, we have established what we believe to be the most natural progression order for the game.
As part of this process, the desert dungeon has been determined to be the final and most challenging area.
Of course, you are not required to follow this order to progress through the game.
(Skipping ahead or taking on more challenging exploration may even lead to a more exciting experience.)
3. Critical chance and critical damage scaling have been completely reworked.
Previously unrealistic values have been adjusted to more balanced and stable scaling.
At each stage, players can now choose to build around defense, attack power, or critical-focused playstyles.
4. The “Night of the Dead” AI has been improved.
With significantly improved intelligence, the AI can now find paths much faster and more accurately than in previous versions.
🌐 \[Multiplayer]
1. The main quest is now shared.
The main quest is now world-bound.
It is defined as a series of “events” that occur within the world, and these events are shared by all players present in that world.
Because it is world-bound, even if you have already completed certain quests, you will need to resolve the events occurring in any new world you enter.

\
1. There is currently an issue with instability in the guest environment.
When riding a ship together or hunting monsters, issues such as animation desynchronization and sudden teleporting may occur.
We have identified the cause and are currently working on a fix. We will release a hotfix as quickly as possible.
2. There may be occasional temporary drops in frame rate.
There are no issues when the character is moving or receiving input, but intermittent frame drops may occur after being idle for a long period without any input.
We have identified the cause and are currently working on a fix. We will release a hotfix as quickly as possible.
Going forward, POLYMORPH STUDIOS will not settle for where we are,
and will continue to take on new challenges and improvements to deliver an even more refined experience.
IfSunSets will also continue to grow and evolve from this update onward,
with ongoing updates aimed at exceeding your expectations.
