Patch 64.2.1 - May 23rd
This patch addresses the save location changing causing saves to not load, and the Japanese localization not showing the Options tab when there's no saves
Fixed Options tab not showing in Japanese, only if there are no saves
Old saves copy over to the new save location if there's no new saves
Specifically if there's no existing saves (no overwriting) and the copy didn't happen already
Patch 64.2.2 - June 5th
This is a quick patch that rewrote parts of how the game handles inputs. The game should now handle much better on controller and keyboard.
Non-directional inputs are now read per frame, no matter what
Directional inputs can be pressed faster
There was a 0.25 second delay that was done for holding only that affected every input. Now when a direction is let go, the delay is ignored. You can mash faster than the hold down speed
A huge thank you to Xubiod 💙
None of this would have been possible without our incredible community member Xubiod, who took on the massive project of bringing the game from Unity 2017 to a modern codebase. This update simply wouldn't exist without her work, and we're endlessly grateful. ROM has the best community in the world, and Xubiod is proof of that.
What's next?
We're honestly not sure what the future holds for 2064 and the Read Only Memories franchise. There've been rough waters behind us and probably some ahead. But hey, we just shipped an update after a 7-year hiatus, so... you never know. 🔵
Thanks for sticking with us.

A deeper technical write-up on the Unity 6 migration is coming soon.
