Bug Fixes
Improved Save Game backup system: progression is backed up automatically every 15 minutes and will replace the save if it becomes corrupted.
Fixed cooldown reduction stacking that could leave you unable to cast abilities.
Mortar enemies no longer hit you twice with a single attack.
Defeated enemies no longer pop out of the ground or spawn attacks after dying.
Fixed enemies getting stuck in End to the Unknown and blocking progression.
Lesion Overlord's health bar now splits correctly in the Abyss.
Gwigoon can no longer push bosses out of the arena.
Gilick's melee upgrade now properly counts toward its melee damage.
The Deep Breath Catalyzer now lowers reload speed while boosting stamina.
Fixed the Cyber mutagen rift handing out the wrong amount of mutagens.
Fixed Abyss level-reached achievements not unlocking in the Voidpedia.
Sealed several spots where players could fall under the map, get stuck, or lose health.
Fixed various VFX glitches, including particles stuck in the ship and camera clipping.
Changes & Improvements
Reduced stutters and VFX popping in and out across many levels.
Abyss enemies now hit a little harder early on but scale down at extreme depths.
Reduced enemy damage sponginess by capping the penalty at a 20-level difference.
Red portals are now always available and their minimum jump range changed from 3 to 5.
The Relentless Affliction Catalyzer now also grants an Elemental Damage Bonus.
Fixed various text and spelling issues, and renamed some Catalyzers.
Abyss
For this patch, we wanted to act quickly on some of the more frustrating elements of the Abyss.
Our immediate focus was making it faster for you to get to the fun parts, as well as tuning down the infinite scaling of enemy damage resistance to make deep progression both possible and rewarding.
While we are planning wider changes to the game mode, we hope these quick quality-of-life adjustments improve your experience while we work on larger scale changes!
