Tirsy's Tale Patch Notes — January 2, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Greetings hatchlings! I hope everyone is doing well and has had a wonderful 2025 full of exciting adventures and meeting new companions to keep you company throughout your journeys. As many of you may know, we've been working on "The Golden Plains" major update and all that it entails for the world of Reqweki. From new regions, new creatures, new collectibles and easter eggs, to full on revamps of combat and skill mechanics, this update is going to be a big one.
But enough about the upcoming. Let us recap on everything that's happened in 2025 and the changes to the world of Reqweki and to Tirsy and her companions themselves. So lets jump in and memorize everything important that took place in 2025.
1. Early in the year we fixed the save system after several months of struggling to find a clear and working solution. This alone changed the game's direction drastically.
2. We added bot Zal'nirak and Kosho'tiko. Two dragon spirits that aid you on your adventures as Tirsy and her companions.
3. The Dragon Temple was fully reconstructed and made functional in February. This made the ending scene and credits viewable for all players as well as exploring the beautifully hand crafted Dragon Temple.
4. Tirsy's Birthday Chronicle, the Jubilee Island, had several additions for achievements and collectibles that will be seen in the main game as well as the Dragon Temple.
5. Several new additions for the Star Shards you could now find to unlock hidden areas in each region. These areas lead to boss fights, more unique collectibles, even cosmetic unlocks for your Tirsy! So much is hidden behind the doors that require Star Shards to unlock.
6. Smoulder unique storyline arc in a certain region accessible from the Ketek Canyon by doing some tricky parkour manuevers. This gave you a first glance at how the other dragons have to utilize their abilities and the first take at character swapping mechanics that were refined further later in the year.
7. In April, we added 2 new boss fights involving a giant tortoise and a snake. Both boss fights featured a destructible arena that would start to collapse and change how you had to move around and fight them in order to survive. From crumbling pillars to dropping boulders on their heads, this definitely added a fun new style of gameplay to Tirsy's Tale!
8. Fashionista Exchange. This is more or less the "closet" cosmetic system for Tirsy and even companions! From the Fashionista Exchange headed by Lady Farusval, a teal colored dragon that comes from the Aqua Herd, you are able to customize Tirsy's appearance with various new cosmetics you can unlock with Gulu Coin, Farusval's specialized tokens that can be found by utilizing the new "Dig" feature! This added over 28 new cosmetics to Tirsy and even 16 for her companions, from hats to shoes to elaborate wingsets and so on. This was by far one of my favorite feature additions to the game. I love customization, and the more the better!
9. The Dig feature. This one was another pretty sizeable addition. Not only does it allow you to dig for Gulu Coin to unlock new cosmetics for Tirsy and her companions, but it also can be used to find hidden passageways, which can lead to boss arenas without the need to find the required Star Shards, as well as secret levels and Easter Eggs from many great games we've enjoyed over the years. (Yes, that is including a certain sheep that is in Spyro, and what happens to it). This feature also let you discover lore tablets that told more of a journal-like side of what had occured, chronicled by the inhabitants who lived beside the dragons before the Great Migration.
10. Character Swapping. Yes, you heard that right. This was added around August. In certain regions, mostly those that are alternate or secret regions, you can find platforms that are sparkly with Kosho'tiko next to them. These platforms will allow you to swap your playable character to any of Tirsy's companions, provided she has met them prior to that level. Being as these regions tend to have a haze to them that weakens Aura dragon abilities, Tirsy has to rely on her companions to progress through the region as their elements are far more prominent than her own version of them. Play as Chippy, Moatia, Breezely, and Ippa as you uncover new knowledge and hidden secrets lost to time in these 7 regions that were added throughout the year. Short levels, but packed full of fun puzzles and platforming. And if that's not for you, you can always traverse back to the main story regions at any time. Completing the alternative paths unlock new story tidbits in the main levels so it's always great to pursue those when you can!
11. In October, we added a Spooky spider boss fight and the addition of the Dragon Arena. You can participate to unlock gladiator themed cosmetics for Tirsy's closet and even horned helmets for the other companions! This arena is accessible through the Dragon Temple, so completing the story is required, but the fights are all randomly generated so you're bound to have endless fun figuring out how to overcome the obstacles before you. In addition to the boss fight and new arena, we gave the ability of full flight so that Tirsy can sail the skies of Laventia, a series of sky islands far above Reqweki's surface. These islands are home to a small herd of unique Sky Dragons who do not use elements, but rather possess great physical speed. Can you beat them in the Cloud Races?
12. Lastly, of course, is the Golden Plains update. We began working on this massive update in early November and have been hard at work since. There is so much we've added to the 2 new regions and many new types of puzzles and platforming challenges. The breathtakingly beautiful sights are sure to leave a lasting memory! Paired with the calming OST of Tirsy's Tale, these places are relaxing and just fun to explore. Secrets are everywhere when it comes to tall grass! Smoulder faces many challenges as his younger self experiences the day of the Great Flash and the voice calling out to all dragon herds. What exactly took place that day? Soon enough, you will be able to experience it and find out!
As we say goodbye to 2025, we close another chapter in Tirsy's Tale's development and ongoing refinement. We thank each and every one of you for your continued support and interest in our little indie game, and we look forward to showing you all of our ambitions fully implemented without any issues! We will strive to achieve that! So, with that said, Hello 2026, and hello to a brand new chapter of Rawr X3 and Tirsy's Tale! This year is bound to bring some amazing things to the game!
