Hey Dragon Hunters,
If you're curious about the Uniques weapons we teased a couple weeks back, then you're in the right place!
Without further ado, let's introducing Ravenous Weapons.

Coming with the next free update, we'll add a new type of weapon that will help you define your build more accurately, while also giving you new opportunities to experiment with the game.
On the surface, Ravenous weapons can come in any rarity, which defines the number and values of its affixes like regular weapons.
The usual you would say, but there are several rules that are specific to them.
What are Ravenous Weapons?
First, they are defined by a name, a visual effect, a list of affixes and a passive effect.
Yes, not random this time. Whether you pick a Rare or Mythical one, the affixes come from the same predefined pool.
You can only equip one Ravenous item at a time and it can only be a weapon.

Ravenous Weapons Rules
Second, they are prohibited from doing lots of things:
They cannot have a talent
They cannot be divine
They cannot be draconic
They cannot be enchanted
They cannot be inscribed with a modifier
They cannot be gifted to the Grand Benedictor
...UNLESS it is specified by their passive effect!
Geeeez, that's harsh... But wait, that's where it gets delicious!
Voracity
Third, they eat. Yup. Not you of course... (I think?)

A Ravenous Weapon can evolve by devouring another item, but it can only be done a certain number of times. The Enchanter will help you for this task, in exchange for a few gold coins.
If the item devoured is from a higher rarity than the Ravenous Weapon, you'll be able to select one of two affixes (both randomly picked from the devoured item) and it will be added to your Ravenous Weapon affixes.

If the item devoured is from a lower or equal rarity than the Ravenous Weapon, you'll be able to first select one of the Ravenous Weapon affix you'd wish to change, then select one of two affixes (both randomly picked from the devoured item) which will replace your previous choice.

In any case, the Ravenous Weapon will take the level of the devoured item and its rarity will increase to the next rank if the devoured item was from a higher rarity.
And yes, you can feed one Ravenous Weapon to another...
Passive Effects
But that's not it! What happens when an item is sacrificed also partially depends on the passive effect of the Ravenous Weapons, some of them granting additional effects.
While we won't spoil everything to let you discover what Ravenous Weapons can do, here are a few examples:

That's a wrap for today!
We hope you will like these uniquely starving weapons and can't wait to hear what you think about it. As usual, thank you so much for your continuing support on Dragonkin.
