Brazilian Portuguese is here! 🇧🇷 | Engine Update!
Lunistice Patch Notes — December 8, 2025
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello everyone!
Wow, it's been a while! 💦
There is a new minor update for Lunistice that's live right now! This brings Lunistice to version 1.06 and not only updates the engine version for the game to fix some outstanding engine issues, but it also adds a brand-new Brazilian Portuguese translation, courtesy of Discord user LonLon06 (https://lonlon06.carrd.co)!
The big engine update
As for the Unity update: since there was a security issue with pretty much all Unity versions (and since I had to update the engine anyway - I'll get to that), I decided to create a new build of the game using Unity version 2022. First and foremost: the game is functionally still the same, though a few shaders had to be updated and visual glitches be fixed in some roundabout ways, so very few elements might look a little bit different from before. I tried matching it with the previous Unity 2020 version as best as I could!
The other reason I decided to update the engine is because of the upcoming Lunistice 2.0 update (previously known as Lunistice 1.5)! I was trying to figure out a way for the longest time to provide every player the opportunity to play the original Lunistice 1.0 version along 2.0, since preservation is an important topic for me and 2.0 will change quite a lot that not every player might like.
While this is an easy thing for Steam (where you can just switch branches and download older versions), other platforms are not as lucky, so I decided to ship both 1.0 and 2.0 in one package where you decide which version to play in a little boot-up screen! Due to this, Lunistice 1.0 had to be updated to Unity 2022 to make it compatible with the host of updates, changes and code rewrites that 2.0 is currently still going through.
If you run into any issues using the new Unity 2022 version, please let me know in the community Discord - https://discord.gg/YfXtjAR. If for some reason the new version causes major issues for you, you can switch back to version 1.05 by going into the game's properties, in the "Beta" tab and choosing the 1_05_Unity2020 branch - this will allow you to download version 1.05b.
What about 2.0?
Unfortunately I still don't really have an ETA for this, life's been exceptionally rough, busy and exciting at the same time and I'm still slowly hacking away at it! As always - if I have anything to post, I'll typically give more regular updates on the community Discord and BlueSky.
The update definitely got much larger than I initially anticipated, especially since I basically had to rewrite 70%-80% of Lunistice's code to even make it compatible with all the additions and updates I'm planning.
...honestly at this point it's pretty much a remake! 😅
Additionally I've started preliminary work on a new project, now that I finally feel a bit more creative again! As with 2.0, I'm sharing some updates on the Discord, though it'll still be a good while until it's ready for a proper reveal!
Anyway, thanks for reading this big wall of text! You'll find the short changelog below!
As always, thank you so much for your continued support! 💖
