Longvinter Patch Notes — February 6, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Good evening everyone. I will jump right into the news and topics of Longvinter.
First of all, I want to let you know that we have noticed the performance degradation on some US and KR servers and we will continue to work on getting the performance to an acceptable level on all servers. That has always been a goal and will be in the future as well.
Next Update
Engine Upgrade
Yes, we will be upgrading our engine from Unreal Engine 5.4 to 5.7. The main reason for this is that as we prepare for the console release, this upgrade will be necessary for compatibility with cross-platform support. This engine version is also more focused on performance and we will especially be looking forward to the Chaos physics engine performance improvements this version has.
Wild Growth
Some of you raised your concerns over only getting cosmetic updates, but fear not, we have been preparing a new content update and it will be released this spring. Let's go over the main topics this update will bring to the game.
Farming Related Locations
This update will introduce new animals to the map in farming-themed locations. These will have new animals like cows and sheep that can be interacted with for new resources.

New Bog Biome with PVP Focus
There will also be another island coming that will feature a swamp-themed environment with new mushrooms and enemies. We will be introducing variants to the arrowheads you can use for your bow to make the gameplay more deep. The bow will be getting fire, high velocity, and poison style arrows. Fire arrows can light players on fire and deal a damage over time effect. In the swamp area, the mushrooms will play a big role in how you can craft poisonous arrows. They can have either a damage over time effect like fire arrows, or they can slow the player's movement, or both. Each mushroom will have a slightly different set of effects so you can mix and match them to create the most potent mix to deal with your enemies.
The swamp area will not allow placement of any tents so it will maintain an eerie, empty feel, almost haunted. To make combat here more fun, we will be introducing a new sleeping bag that can be used as a one-time respawn point so you don't miss the action even if you bite the dust once.

The planned release for the update is on wipe day, but this can be delayed if the update is not ready by then. Thank you and have a good one.
