Fun With Objects, Part 2: Development Update
Dungeon Alchemist News — June 10, 2026
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hi everyone!
As we are nearing the finalization of Fun with Objects, Part 2 we wanted to give you a brief preview of some of the new features we are currently working on that will be in the next update.
Asset Picker Tool
The asset picker allows you to select any asset (object, floor, door, window, wall, …) in a map and highlight it in the appropriate menu. This power feature makes finding an existing asset so much faster, allowing you to quickly duplicate anything on the map!
Full 3D Rotation
We finally unlocked 360° creativity by allowing full rotation in all 3 dimensions! 3D rotated assets can still be placed on top of each other, and they are kept automatically above ground while you rotate them. Go wild by flipping tables, ravaging entire interiors or frankensteining new contraptions out of 3D rotated pieces.
Multi-select and grouping
In the next update, you’ll be able to multi-select objects and group them together. You can then move, rotate and scale these groups as if they are one object. Duplicating them will create an exact copy of everything you selected. Moving or copying entire parts of your map has never been easier!
Asset Area Dragging
Some assets can be placed multiple times quickly by dragging the left mouse button while placing them. This allows you to easily create long fences or stack large swathes of platforms on top of each other.
Hand Drawn Theme
For those of you that prefer less detail in a map and a more hand classical drawn style, we’ve created a Hand Drawn theme, which features sketched assets in black and white.
Empty Rooms
There is now an “Empty room” main theme for those of you that want to define the shape of the building first, before populating it with objects.
Release Date?
In addition to these main features, we are of course working on lots of smaller improvements, and we are adding a large amount of new objects as well. We don't have a release date for this update yet, but progress is well underway, so stay tuned for more info!
