Cross-Play
- Cross-Play between all platforms has been implemented, play with ninjas from all over!
General
- Added loading screen tips and tricks
- Added context popups to communicate when the player is disconnected from multiplayer.
- Sensei & Gutsu cutouts have been added to the Social Hub. Jump in and take some whacky pictures with other ninjas!
- Training Poles have been added to the Social Hub.
- Fruit Cannons in the Social Hub have been repositioned to allow for side by side blade & archery practice.
Performance
- The game will now compile it's shaders during the load screen the first time the game is launched, leading to a smoother experience with less framerate hitches.
- Improved performance in the Bamboo Path, Gutsu’s Lagoon, Archery Path & Social Hub.
- Improved performance of the Ninja Scroll & menus throughout the game.
- Improved performance when the player places weapons in their backpack.
- Getting blitz in Arcade no longer causes a dip in framerate.
Bug Fixes
- The player can now shoot arrows to activate buttons in Classic, Arcade, Zen & Blade Challenge modes.
- Fixed the fruit cannons that would appear to shoot with no fruit coming out in Arcade & Zen modes.
- Fixed a bug that caused smoke to sometimes appear on fruit cannons when the player sliced a fruit
- Fixed a bug that stopped the Fruit Salad Complete achievement from unlocking.
- Notifications for unlocking Classic, Arcade & Zen will now appear on the Ninja Scroll.
- Highlighting an object when starting a game mode will no longer keep it highlighted.
- Restarting the game no longer causes the wrong weapons to display on the home tab of the Ninja Scroll.
- Fast travelling while a game mode is ending no longer causes the player location in the Ninja Scroll to be stuck.
- Fixed a bug that caused the Ninja Scroll to become unresponsive.
- Fixed various missing or broken collision throughout the map.
- The player is now able to unlock the Master Blade & Bow by achieving a rank of -A or higher in all challenge levels.
- Dragon’s Breath achievement no longer causes audio to replay itself.
- Fixed being able break the Blade Challenges' UI if the player moved past the board physically in the play space and paused the game.
- Fixed being able to break game modes by physically moving moving out of the gameplay area and resuming the game.
- Fixed the player being able to physically move outside the Start Screen area.
- Fixed the player getting stuck if they physically moved in their play space while entering the Social Hub.
- Blink distance is now consistent regardless of where you are in your play space.
- Fixed a number of areas that caused the player to get stuck when using Blink as a movement option.
- Fixed a bug in the Ninja Scroll that would break moving with the blink option.
- Fixed an issue in the Fruit Copter challenge levels that caused bombs to sometimes not explode when hitting the player.
- Blades will now correctly deflect bombs in Fruit Copter levels.
- Fixed a bug that caused incorrect leaderboards to be displayed when quickly switching between levels.
- Adjusted some UI styling to be more consistent with the rest of the game.
- Fixed a bug that caused the UI in Classic Mode to break if the player fast travels at the end of a game.
- Fixed an issue that caused waves to be delayed.
- Fixed the player having two bows stuck in their hands if they pick up a bow in their right hand and use it to start the game.
- Bows will now correctly reset its orientation when letting go of the arrow.
- Fixed some cliffs in the Archery Range that had broken shading.
- Fixed the frenzy banana sometimes spawning too few fruit.
- Arcade now displays the correct bonus rewards at the end of a game.
- Fixed a bug that caused the UI in Arcade Mode to break if the player fast travels at the end of a game.
- Fixed the player incorrectly spawning on the wrong side of the Archery Gate if they restarted the game during the tutorial.
- Fixed a bug which allowed the player to put a weapon in their backpack before reaching the correct step in the tutorial.
- Fixed the player unlocking quick travel for Gutsu’s Lagoon without having entered the area.
- Fixed a bug which caused music to play in the incorrectly when restarting the game during the tutorial.
- Fixed issues that caused music tracks to play in the wrong environments.
- Fixed some audio being controlled by the incorrect volume slider.
- Fixed the Social Hub doors' audio being stuck on loop.
- The Ninja Scroll closing sound effect will no longer play unexpectedly when leaving the Social Hub.
- Fixed some audio that would only play in one ear.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes caused music to not play in Archery Challenge Levels.
- Fixed newly purchased weapons disappearing from the player’s hand if they move too far from the shop.
- Fixed the shop displaying the “Not enough Star fruits” if the player takes a weapon too far from the shop.
- Fixed an issue with purchasing a weapon that would cause controllers to keep vibrating after clearing notifications.
- The shopping list will now properly clear when the player fast travels away and returns.
- Fixed a bug that caused the player’s hand to remain stuck on the BUY rope.
- Fixed an issue that caused audio to loop with interacting with sai’s in the shop.
- Fixed some issues which led to missing or incorrect translations.
- Ghosted players will no longer have their particle effects still be visible.
- Voice Chat volume and fall-off has been adjusted to improve clarity.
- Apples in Apple Head will now slice in the correct orientation respective to the arrow trajectory.
- The host will no longer see ghost apples being sliced when players steal the apple.
- Fixed an issue that caused players to not properly disconnect when the Host loses connection.
- Entering and leaving the Quit Menu while holding a weapon no longer consumes to the weapon.
- Improved fruit collision.
- Bows now display their correct arrow trail effect.
- Fruit halves no longer disappear when you hit them with a blade in multiplayer.
- Options in the Social Tab of the Ninja Scroll are now correctly synced with the Player Board.
- Fixed a bug that caused players to be disconnected back to single player if they left and entered the Social Hub too quickly.
- Leaving an arrow drawn on a bow no longer causes the trajectory line to disappear in multiplayer.
- The Ninja Scroll is no longer visible while playing Apple Head.
- Bullseye sound effect is now properly synced across all players in the Social Hub.
- The bamboo fence in the Social Hub no longer clips through the stairs.
- The bow trajectory line no longer flickers when snap turning in Multiplayer.
- Fixed an issue that sometimes blocked shields from spawning in the Social Hub.
- The trajectory line no longer gets stuck in the air if the player drops of the bow while drawing an arrow.
- Improved audio fall off of fruit slicing and player voices in Social Hub.
- Fixed a bug that caused arrows to float behind a player if they were moving too fast when shot.
- Players are no longer disconnected if they are standing next to the doors when another player exits the Social Hub.
- Fixed a bug that caused the shields in Apple Head to sometimes spawn as the wrong faction.
- Fruit in the Training Poles minigame will no longer disappear when knocked off the totems.
