Patch notes for 8th July 2022
Audio has been the focus for the last couple of months, we've got lots of new audio within the gameplay, and a new Original Sound Track created by 'Shodah'. The case lighting has also been changed to be darker and more realistic, so get your masks ready!
Audio Overhaul
- New OST music by 'Shodah' for the main menu, basement, investigation, and combat
- New EMC sound for when the sensor is active but not detecting anything
- New footsteps that are based on floor type
- New haunting sounds
- New ambient sounds
- New menu sounds
- New loading sounds
- New playground sounds
- New Revenant combat sounds
- New room tones for background ambience have been added to each area
- Reverberation and echo levels now change based on the current room
Changes
- EMC no longer activates and senses whilst holstered on the belt
- EMC max range increased
- Case files can now been found on the basement table
- Updated lighting for the academy to be darker and more realistic
- Reflection probes have been added to the academy for more accurate light reflections
- Revenant no longer stalks players on the first evidence discovery
- The playground is now interactive and physics-based
- Shadows removed from mask lights
- Evidence requires pictures to be taken within a close distance to be collected
- Credits updated to include 'Shodah' for creating the original soundtrack and Elias Hofmann for sound design
- Various audio balances
Fixes
- Fixed loading cube obscuring the menu interface
- Fixed subtitles for memorial
- Fixed memorial cue repeating
- Fixed EMC sensor rate to be more consistent
- Fixed pool balls not grabbing instantly
- Fixed tech not working or attaching to walls in the simulation
- Fixed masks not saving correctly
- Fixed mask health resetting on scene loads
