Temple Hunters Patch Notes — August 7, 2021
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Hello everyone, after a week of work, listening to your feedback, and testing we are now releasing the brand new Game Feel Update! We haven't had the time yet to make an official devlog video because we've been working so hard on the update, but we are eager to hear everyone's response to the new update!

So what's new?
- Player motion has been refined giving a smoother feel to the camera and the player's movement.
- Aiming of the rifle has been improved, allowing the camera to move to the point of where the player is aiming, to give the player an advantage over AI, and allowing you to spot your enemies earlier!
- You will now automatically respawn on death, you will no longer have to press "Space" manually :)
- Upon a kill or treasure claim, the screen will now visually show that you've gotten +100(or another amount) of score!
- The health bar is now animated, when losing health it will visually be represented, the same goes for gaining.
- When holding a shovel near a digging site, a new Icon will appear on the right bottom of the screen to show how much of the treasure has been dug up yet, to indicate the digging progress!
- Animations have been improved to look less like "Sliding on ice".
- We have started work on adding controller support (Xbox One) (Driving, walking, aiming, and shooting, now works for the controller, but it is still in its early testing phase so reloading, choosing a weapon etc, will still require you to use your keyboard).
Bugfixes
- Aiming inside the Abydos Temple will no longer clip the camera through the roof.
- You are now able to aim through the pillars and other objects.
- Other camera clipping bugs have been fixed.
- You are now able to pick up treasure again.
- We've started work on Optimizing the Peruvian Jungle map for lower-end systems. So it should work better now.
- And a whole bunch of other bug fixes.
I hope that the brand new aiming system will bring joy to all of you and improve your experience playing Temple Hunters. I appreciate all the support and amazing feedback from all of you. The next update will be the "Abydos Expanded" update so stay tuned for that!
Thank you all for reading this update, and I hope to see you out there, Hunting for Treasure!
