Travellers Patch Notes — November 26, 2020
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.

Hello. This is our first update! It's been 5 days since we launched Travellers on Steam.
I thought I'd share some gameplay and general direction of the game.
Travellers is basically a survival action game with a focus on action and exploration.
Rather than focusing on one huge map, the game plays like you are travelling to different locations.
Each level has different enemies and aesthetics. Each big level takes about 2-3 hours to beat depending on how you play.
The game has a basic story to follow, so it's not 100 percent sandbox open-world survival game.
Combined with a good story, I think it adds more depth and life to the survival genre.
I'm also planning to put a boss monster in each level. As we all know, sometimes simple is best.
You can play 5 levels at the moment.
-Desolate Planet
-Mars Survival Facility
-VR Island
-Peru in a post-apocalyptic time
-Rome(set in a caribbean forest).
Rome level is not finished yet. The level ends at the water fall area
The first level is a desolate planet.

Portal is where enemies are spawned.
Letalobrachs(name for the quadrupedal monster. And yes, I made it up.) and astronaut zombies are pretty hard to kill. They don't evade or hide. They keep attacking until you either die or gets out of their sight. Letalobrachs have a pretty narrow FOV, which makes it easy for you to hide from them.
Next level is a Mars survival facility.
It's basically just a community hub on Mars where you stock up on your supplies to gear up for the next level. You talk with your crewmates about your next mission. It has a pawn shop, where you can trade in ancient artifacts or unique items you have acquired from the previous level.
This is the pawn shop. I know what you think. Models and textures will get better.. I promise. I'm focusing all my energy on the gameplay and level design now.
Then you get in your spacecraft to get to Peru in a post-apocalyptic time. This is the first level that plays like your usual survival action game. It has bandits and zombies. You dig up ancient artifacts, build, craft, explore and kill. It has a basic story to follow.
You are not going to be able to enter certain buildings until you finish your tasks. At the end of the level, you encounter a boss monster. You kill it. Then you get back to the survival facility on Mars with all the goodies you have acquired from the level.

You can recognize ancient alien paintings at certain areas, where you can dig up for unique items or ancient artifacts. They can boost your abilities.
The stone lamp is a save slot.
These are some of the types of trees you can cut down. You cannot cut down big trees.
This is the water fall area.

And lastly, just some good old shooting at an ancient alien.
Something I do from time to time when I get bored, debugging a large c++ codebase.
For the next update, I'll be focusing on AI interaction, building and your very own spaceship.
Yay! We'are so excited!....
Anyway..You will be able to display your loots in your spaceship.
It's there to make you feel like you are travelling in space before proceeding to the big level.
I'm working on a frog mine and an automatic anti-gravity pod that can immobilize enemies as well.
I'll share my sketches and ideas with the community when I have the time.
All right folks. That's it for today. Leave your comments below if you have any questions.
P.s Somebody asked me if I lived in America because of the U.S flags in the game. It has nothing to do with my nationality. I live in south Korea :)
