As the development team that has worked on the game for quite some time now, we have enjoyed it a lot to see how it is received ! Overall the response is very positive and people are having fun playing NERO.
Especially a big thank you to all the streamers that let us watch the game through their eyes ! This was tremendously helpful and fun to watch for hours on end. It helped us a lot to identify the unbalanced parts and how the overall game flow works. We hope you had as much fun playing it as we were having watching you play !
The decision to go with Early Access was taken primary to gather more gameplay feedback and testing to identify the issues and bugs we were not able to find during development. Especially HOW exactly people will play our game was an unknown factor to us. But we are confident to say that in this regard Early Access was a full success !
We have already patched out a few severe bugs were players lost their progress or won´t be able to acquire skill points, next to a lot of other smaller issues.
The main focus now is to make the game more balanced in terms of difficulty. We have created a challenging game and it is supposed to make you struggle at some points. That´s why we give you the tools to solve the problems. Nevertheless, in some locations the challenges were overwhelming to some player were in other areas players progressed to fast. We could already identify the changes we need to make for an overall better game flow for all player types.
Currently we are working on the integration of the English voices and the patch will be supplied soon. For the next few weeks we will modify and extend existing game systems and rebalance the maps. We hope you will continue posting feedback and bugs so we can make NERO the game you would like to see and play !
Once this is done we will start to plan for a full game release shortly afterwards. At this point we will also rebalance the pricing for some countries but for now we are bound within steams conditions.
So, thanks again to all of you who made this NERO Early Access launch an enjoyable experience !
