UNITED COMMAND Patch Notes — October 15, 2020
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
This week's update introduces a big change to the core game - asymmetric damage.
Broadly speaking units are now divided up into different armor classes:
- unarmoured
- light
- medium
- heavy
- super heavy
Weapon effectiveness has been adjusted for each unit but generally heavier armour requires larger caliber weaponry to defeat it.
For example small arms fire is now dramatically less effective against heavier armor types than before.
RPGs are effective against heavy armor but are now less effective against agile infantry and special forces.
MG towers are now much less effective against heavy armor.
AA towers are now more effective against F16s and B2 but are now less effective against armored helicopters.
Looking forward to feedback on the new balancing - particularly if anyone thinks any particular unit needs adjustment in future builds.
