Lakeview Cabin 2 Patch Notes — October 24, 2023
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Thank you to everyone who has been playing Lakeview Canin 2!
The reviews and sales have been great, not as high as one might hope but more than enough for a solo-developer to keep continuing! So I am super grateful already, and the game will have a little discount when the Halloween sale starts this week! So that is very good!
Now the bad news. Some of you may know that I have a wife and two kids. I’m the sole provider for a family of four. So as you can guess, that is where my money goes. And now that my development cycles take some time, the earnings have been smaller and smaller each month. And everything seems to grow more expensive every month.
So long story short: I’m honestly broke. I’m not able to pay my Unity subscription for this month, so currently that is on hold because what I have left needs to go to feed my family and to keep a roof over our heads. And I’m okay with that, when you live with depression, you rarely feel like you deserve anything anyway.
But the reason I’m telling this is to explain why I cant patch the game for a week at least. If stars align (which they never do if you ask me) I might get my subscription back before the weekend. I’m also super excited about the fact that they are raising the prices next year, he said with a hint of sarcasm.
So I hope you all understand why some of the bugs reported after the release haven’t yet been patched. I’ll be back with an update as soon as I can.
In the meantime, if you like the game;
Please share it! And write a review! Contact your local lawmaker to make buying it mandatory!
