Diagnosis: Update!
Since Healing Spree’s launch, we’ve been in awe of your hilarious streams, screenshots and social media posts! Though you are all untrained, you are quickly mastering your skills in medical negligence.
Now, the development team are back to share more about our upcoming roadmap, including key updates and fixes!

1. Networking
A few of you might have experienced connection issues; let us explain more about it. Healing Spree is a fast-paced, action multiplayer game with throw/collision physics. To deliver the best experience, we decided to synchronize everything in real-time. All the actions, objects you throw, and collisions are synced through the network in real-time.
This is a huge challenge for us as it requires a super low latency environment with every object and action synced similar to some hardcore action games. In development, we changed the whole structure 3 times. We went from P2P(peer-to-peer) to dedicated servers, then back to P2P. The reason we are using P2P instead is that we are unable to set up servers around the world. P2P through Steam handles such situations better. 85% of players have a better experience in our beta test through P2P.
To summarize, players should let someone who has the best connection be the host and make sure they are not behind a firewall.
Our team knows exactly how frustrating a connection problem is, as we are all gamers too. We’ll make sure that enhancing game connection will be one of our top priorities in the upcoming patch.

2. Controls
We’ve also received your feedback about the game controls and we’re aware that the use and throw actions in Overcooked are mapped in the same button. However, In Healing Spree, the two buttons are separated. This might take a while in getting used to but allows more flexibility in certain scenarios. The reason behind this is that we have decided to allow players to throw everything. This is different for Overcooked since some items cannot be thrown (like the fire extinguisher) as the button only allows one action at a time.
We believe that allowing players to throw everything in the game would create more strategies and choices in the long run. Therefore, we decided to keep the controls as is. Remember that controls can be rebound to better suit everyone’s playstyle.
We are also working on enhancing control sensitivity and item snapping. Our priority would be enhancing your control and overall gaming experience. With your reports, we can keep improving the game and grow together with our players.
We will upload a new patch with fixes soon! So stay tuned to our future updates on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and our Website.
