First major update! Difficulty, room levels, redo moral, sandbox.
Shelter Manager Patch Notes — October 21, 2021
Aggregated from Steam, cross-tracked with Battle.net coverage on GamePatchNote.
Today we're introducing the biggest update that will change the game in the way you asked for. It will make the game noticeably easier, more intuitive, and controllable.
1. The term "Recruit" is removed. So if you have a weapon, you can create a soldier straight away. It will cost you workers, but without losing morale.
2. The ability to demobilize units is added. You can demobilize any unit in any bunker. In return you will get back workers that were spent for their creation and also get weapons for the storage. We tried to make the most convenient window, where you can immediately dissolve the required units in the required bunkers.
3. Enhancement levels for rooms are added. Now you can improve any room to level 3. Some rooms will cost especially more, some will be cheaper. Also, we added more food to the food production room.
4. Morale is added to the requirements to build a room or improve a room. Morale will be spent during construction.
5. The sandbox has been heavily reworked. We rebalanced NPC, AI. Also, the goals of the first sandbox were corrected (the cities that need to be captured for the Military Victory have been changed).
In general, the game becomes more understandable for beginners. Often the problem with Happiness is what caused the most discomfort. Also, this update will help a lot at a later stage of the game when there will be a lot of bunkers. It becomes easier to create armies and in fact transfer armies from a bunker to a bunker.
We read all the messages, feedbacks, watch all the videos, and try to do our best to make the game interesting and enjoyable. We have already made quite a few steps, but this is just the beginning. Thank you for supporting us along the way and helping us out! Lets go ahead together ;)
